Wedding Photography Survey – Considerations when choosing a wedding photographer

We completed a survey of engaged couples in the process of choosing a wedding photographer to see what their most important considerations are. Not surprisingly aesthetic was most important with quality and style of photographs topping the list. In 2nd and 3rd place was Friendly / Puts me at ease /Feeling of Trust / Peace of Mind.

Somewhat further down the list was price. One possible conclusion for this is that couples value style and personality of a photographer before moving onto important budgetary considerations.

The complete survey results are available on the main Photographic Memory website here.

January Wedding Shows & Offers!

It’s wedding booking season and there are a lot of shows happening this month and next. The Wedding Journal Show last weekend in City West was a great success. There was a great atmosphere there and it was lovely to meet so many happy couples busy making wedding plans. I’m not envious of the choice they have and realise it takes time to consider and make decisions so I will be keeping my wedding photography show offer open until Jan 31st. Please see my webpage for details.

Next weekend I’ll be in the RDS for the Bride of the Year Show. I have a limited number ofcomplimentary passes available so if you would like some then see myFacebook page for details on how to claim yours.

Kinnitty Castle Wedding Fayre

Thanks to everyone for stopping by the stand at Kinnitty’s Wedding Fayre yesterday. I’ve photographed a few weddings there recently and I always enjoy them. The venue and staff are wonderful. I love the way the banquet room looks when all the candles are lit!

Daintree Window Display

I’m delighted to say that Ali from Daintree has put together a new window display of thank you cards and mini albums and has used Photographic Memory’s wedding photos for the purpose. This is great publicity for us. One bride told me, “I reckon every bride in Leinster goes there at least 3 times before their big day! (I’ve been in 4!)”

Thanks Ali for sending the photos of it and I hope the display goes well for you.

Irish Rocking Horses

My friend Gary is an unassuming craftsman and he makes these wonderful rocking horses which I was delighted to be asked to photograph for him. Like a lot of people Gary wasn’t immediately relaxed in front of the camera so we had to tell a few jokes to keep the mood light. Although he’s now a Clane, County Kildare local he’s originally from Liverpool so apologies I can’t repeat any of his jokes in my blog but if you get in touch I’m sure he’ll text you the latest ones! You can see his website here: http://www.irishrockinghorses.com/

Tax Assist Accountants Opening with Foster and Allen – Naas – 1st Oct 2010

Had a great time at the opening of TaxAssist office in Naas last Friday. I wish Anne and Louise the very best of luck with their

new office in Kildare and have no doubt that with they will do very well. I always enjoy their company and would have no problem recommending them since I trust them to do my own accounts!
